Masseto 2014 has been released this week at £4,200 per 12x75cl. Among recent vintages, it is now the cheapest Masseto available on the market.

Monica Larner from The Wine Advocate reckons that “the 2014 Masseto has developed beautifully over the past few years” and awarded it 94 points.

The similarly scored 2009 is well above £5,000, an increase of 94.8% in just five years' time.

James Suckling scored the 'fantastic vintage' 97, saying that “the texture and intensity are exceptional”. The elder 2012, however, seems the best value choice in the estate's wines scored above 95.

Solaia 2014 has also been released this week with an international trade price at £1,620 per 12×75.

Monica Larner awarded it 95 points for it "delivers a sense of sheer excitement and nervousness that will subside with another few years of bottle age.”
