Yesterday, Liv-ex revealed the price data surrounding Bordeaux First Growths from 2008. Now it’s examined the same for their second wines, which have made “staggering gains” since release a decade ago.

As with the First Growth’s main wines, Pavillon Rouge comes out on top, rising 442% since release and just 3% off the peak price it achieved during the heady markets of 2009. Petit Mouton 2008 follows behind with an increase of 367% since release, and the title of best performer over the last five years, having risen 90% in this period.

Clarence Haut Brion 2008, meanwhile, has gained the least since release despite commanding one of the highest scores from Neal Martin. It is nonetheless up a very respectable 121%.
